Abstract

This document describes the Characterisation Data Model, whose goal is to define and organize all the metadata necessary to describe both quantitatively and, where relevant, qualitatively, the portion of the multidimensional space that an observation (or simulation) product subtends, or it is immersed in.

Status of this document

This is an IVOA Proposed Recommendation made available for public review.
It is appropriate to reference this document only as a recommended standard that is under review and which may be changed before it is accepted as a full recommendation.
