Dear application enthusiasts,
This message is to announce the release of STILTS version 2.0b.
The main change at this release is the introduction of plotting commands: 2-d and 3-d scatter plots and histograms, of the same kind as generated by TOPCAT's plotting windows, can now be generated from the comand line. More of TOPCAT's plotting functions will be introduced in future releases.
There is also a new server/servlet mode which allows STILTS to operate using HTTP for parameter input and data output. This may be of interest to people who want to use the plotting facilities server-side to serve graphics to clients (amongst others).
Both of these are a bit experimental for now, hence the "b" in the version number.

Those of you at the upcoming IVOA Interop or ADASS meetings will be lucky enough to have the opportunity of seeing this presented as a talk and poster respectively.
