Handling column names Re: ADQL-0.9; another review & comment, please (fwd)

Hi,

I was recently testing Open SkyQuery and I founded out that

SELECT a.*
FROM 
    ROSAT:BSC a 

produces an error

The reason I was given, which  is documented in 
http://openskyquery.net/Sky/SkySite/help/faq.aspx

is because ADQL doesn't allow certain columns names like those with a '_'
or in the case of BSC because there is a column called 'exp'.

I think this is way too much influence in what ADQL has to say about a
column name in a table.  This problem should be fixed in following version
of ADQL.
