From Markus.Dolensky at eso.org Thu Mar 11 01:56:52 2004 From: Markus.Dolensky at eso.org (Markus Dolensky) Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2004 10:56:52 +0100 Subject: AstroRG web presence Message-ID: <405037E4.3090201@eso.org> Peter, Nic sent an urgent request to Marco to set up a web structure for GGF AstroRG. Apparently the group meets tomorrow Friday. Before doing this: Do we agree that AstroRG is from an IVOA point of view an interest group like "Theory" or "Application" or "Architecture" and a complement to the "WS & GS" working group? If so, then we'll create a similar slot. Nic, however, is suggesting to create a wiki structure that puts AstroRG on the same level as the whole IVOA wiki (redirect top node to ivoa.net/intranet/) and wants to put it parallel to it (redirect top node to ivoa.net/astro-rg/). To me that's not justified. My suggestion is: plan A) create an another interest group kind of Wiki topics plan B) if that's not good enough then AstroGrid should host it instead Preferences? Fine. Suggest that and well take it from there. I guess something like: RewriteRule /astro-rg$ /twiki/bin/view/IVOA/AstroRG [R] RewriteRule /astro-rg/$ /twiki/bin/view/IVOA/AstroRG [R] RewriteRule /astro-rg/index.html$ /twiki/bin/view/IVOA/AstroRG [R] Thanks a lot. The redirect will be in place soon.
