Just so as to head of any other false controversy...

That should be Pedro's job. As I wrote in my earlier (and subsequent
emails), I will be presenting a possible model and the supporting technology
around it. This model is one of two which has been proposed by the DM-catalog
group, but doesn't appear to be at odds with the other model (e.g. the other may
be realized with our model, and viceversa). However, as Pedro points out, no merger
of ideas has yet happened so who knows what the final composition will be.
Nevertheless, I doubt that we will be able to address most of these 'structural'
issues in that meeting, and I would still like to inform the wider VO community of
the work we have been doing.
So, hopefully not to be too repetitive, my concern in modeling catalogs has been
that we create an adequate structure to allow the needed, sophisticated, queries
that the VO applications will demand. As this need overlaps with the VOQL community,
I would think you all would be somewhat interested in this topic :)
Hence, I am (still) interested in presenting details of what needs to be done
in order to create "queriable" catalogs that meet a number of VO requirements and point
to possible technologies that I and Ed have been researching which meet this need.
If this approach is improper (presenting this work at this point) then I am happy to
withdraw my talk so that things proceed more smoothly between myself and all other
VO groups (!!).
Regards, (and hopefully last email on this subject by me! Please Maria and Pedro come
to a decision on what the right approach should be and I will follow it)
