UCD versioning?

I'm really interested in this topic, too, and I think at least it  
should be known whether:

a) The community is prepared to have several UCD versions, and has a  
plan for it

b) The only versioning that has been thought is from old UCD (in the  
ROOTELEMENT_SUBELEMENT form) to UCD1+ (rootelement.subelement), and  
versioning through the schema; that would allow, I think, at least to  
know whether and old piece of software needs to be updated to cope  
with new UCDs, but no new meanigns, I guess...

c) UCD1+ is the last version of the UCD, and will be superseded by  
"ontologies", when they're defined...
