VOQL-TEG Feedback to community (03-May-2007)

The VOQL-TEG has celebrated two more meetings:

VOQL-TEG Meeting #4 on Mar 8 2007
VOQL-TEG Meeting #5 on Apr 27 2007

Since last meeting, we have concentrated in two main aspects:

- ADQL document
- first TAP draft


o The ADQL is in a quite stable state. The latest Spec can be found at:

Some issues are still pending, and some actions (see Minutes of Meeting
#5 for details) have been identified to try to close them. 

The two most relevant pending issues for the moment are: 

	- Region definition discussion. 
	- Usage of UTypes within ADQL

We will discuss these -and other- issues in Beijing (a separate mail
will be sent to the whole VOQL community on Beijing issues).

o The TAP is a second priority for the VOQL-TEG group at this time.
There are strong discussions on the scope and functionality of the
eventual TAP. No summary is given here on this issue. More details can
be found in the voql-teg mailing list archive. This will also be
discussed in Beijing (details in separate mail as well).
